Normal steel sliders give for much more weight but also dont allow certain flexibility i like with movement systems. Design goal was to allow for rostock type of movement across two aluminium full round extrusions. All my weight considering has allowed for all machines portability, meaning one man can easily carry even mtf.xl machine. Sliding is if all is fitted right pretty slick however in some conditions noise can be a factor, whole system needs no oiling or lubrication and is quite durable and also easy to fix and reprint.
Carriage i found somewhere during years that is doing great job and is switchable for different movement systems.
And for eye candy and easy usage we created these gt belt clips. Small things, look great.
I advise as much infill as you can since these are all designed small and need all the toughness they have. These were printed using nozzles 0.3 to 0.5 mm diameter with great success.
